What is ILSSI?
The International Lean Six Sigma Institute (ILSSI) is a global professional body for Lean Six Sigma. It sets certification standards and assesses candidates at Yellow, Green and Black Belt.
ILSSI certification does not expire and needs no re-certification or renewal. ILSSI also offers project-based certification pathways.

The exam is independent of our training. Our Yellow, Green and Black Belt courses give you the knowledge and practice to prepare, and the exam itself is set and assessed by ILSSI.

How much is the ILSSI exam in Malaysia?
At Six Sigma Malaysia the ILSSI exam costs Yellow Belt RM595, Green Belt RM795 and Black Belt RM1,295 per person. Exam fees are set by ILSSI and may change.
How many questions are in the ILSSI exam, and what is the pass mark?
Yellow Belt: 50 questions in 1 hour, Green Belt: 100 questions in 2 hours and Black Belt: 150 questions in 3 hours. All questions are multiple choice and you need 70% to pass.
Can I retake the ILSSI exam?
Yes. One free retake is included.
Does ILSSI certification expire?
No. ILSSI certification has no expiry and needs no re-certification or renewal.
Can I take the ILSSI exam online, and in which languages?
Yes. The exam is taken online and is available in 11 languages.
What do I receive when I pass?
ILSSI issues your certificate, and you also receive a digital badge you can share on LinkedIn and your CV.
How is ILSSI different from CSSC?
Both certify Yellow, Green and Black Belts, with timed online exams of the same length. CSSC is open book, gives you 3 free attempts within 12 months and keeps a public register. ILSSI includes 1 free retake, a digital badge and a choice of 11 languages.
