What Yellow Belt participants say

From a video testimonial recorded after our public Yellow Belt training, lightly edited for readability.

“I just completed the training in early October. One of the things I learnt is how to raise a project charter, and the crucial points to focus on in the charter. I think this is the first thing I will use and apply. I am from an FMCG company, so this is quite good for the learning, and for career progress also.”

Do I need any experience for Yellow Belt?

No. Yellow Belt needs no prior experience or statistics background. It is the starting point for anyone who will take part in improvement projects.

Is the Yellow Belt course HRD Corp claimable?

Yes for the instructor-led virtual and classroom courses; the 4-morning online and self-paced online courses are not. MBizM Sdn. Bhd. is a registered HRD Corp training provider. Whether your employer can claim depends on its own HRD Corp registration and levy, so check with your HR team before you register.

How does my employer claim the course fee from HRD Corp?

Your employer makes the claim, not the participant. A registered employer applies under the HRD Corp Claimable Courses (SBL-Khas) scheme through its e-TRiS account, attaching the course quotation or invoice, the trainer profile and the course schedule. Employers with outstanding levy are not eligible. Ask us for these documents for the course you choose.

How long does Yellow Belt training take?

The instructor-led virtual and classroom courses are 3 days, 9am to 5pm. The instructor-led online course is 16 hours over four mornings, 9am to 1pm. Self-paced online learners have 12 months' access.

The 4-morning online course includes the internal exam and an assignment with a coach. The self-paced online course ends with a certification exam. If you also want a certificate from an international body, you can add the CSSC Yellow Belt exam (RM611), the PeopleCert IASSC Yellow Belt exam (RM1,294) or the ILSSI Yellow Belt exam (RM595).

When is the next Yellow Belt class?

New public Yellow Belt dates are being scheduled. The self-paced online course can start any day, and you can ask us for the next instructor-led date.

Should I take Yellow Belt or Green Belt?

Take Yellow Belt if you will support projects as a team member. Take Green Belt if you will lead improvement projects in your own area: it goes deeper into data analysis and the full DMAIC toolkit.

Can you run Yellow Belt training in-house for our company?
