Attend four mornings live
9am to 1pm each morning, online with a trainer, including Minitab practice where applicable.

Take the internal exam
15 multiple-choice questions, open book, 30 minutes, online after the training. Pass mark 70%.

Complete the assignment
A short assignment, with a coach, completed within 21 days of the exam for full certification.

A broad understanding of the Lean and Six Sigma methodology, concepts and language, with a complete toolbox of basic process improvement methods.

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course content
A Yellow Belt supports improvement projects as a core team member or subject matter expert and can map processes and spot waste in their own area. Classes run 9am to 1pm.
Morning 1
9am to 1pmOverview of Six Sigma: DMAIC and Lean PDCA, DMAIC versus other approaches, the 7 wastes (TIMWOOD), cost of poor quality (COPQ), project charters and prioritisation tools.
Morning 2
9am to 1pmRoot cause analysis tools, data collection techniques, basic Lean enterprise and Lean ways of working, workshop and video analysis, basic statistics and graphical analysis using Minitab.
Morning 3
9am to 1pmFishbone diagrams and the C&E matrix, process flow charts and swimlane diagrams, value-added and non-value-added activities, types of statistical analysis, workshops on the 7QC and RCA tools, generating improvement ideas.
Morning 4
9am to 1pmPoka-yoke (mistake proofing) with Lean tools, running pilot Six Sigma programmes, solution implementation plan, statistical process control, control plans, SOPs and documentation, and a final review.

If you also want a certificate from an international exam body, you can add a CSSC, PeopleCert IASSC or ILSSI Yellow Belt exam. It is booked and paid for separately, and you do not need it to receive your MBizM certificate.

How much does the Yellow Belt 4-morning online course cost?
RM1,450 per person. Optional external certification exams are charged separately: CSSC RM611, PeopleCert IASSC RM1,294 and ILSSI RM595.
Is this course HRD Corp claimable?
No, this format is not HRD Corp claimable. If your employer wants to claim, choose an instructor-led virtual or classroom Yellow Belt course instead. MBizM Sdn. Bhd. is a registered HRD Corp training provider. Whether your employer can claim depends on its own HRD Corp registration and levy, so check with your HR team before you register.
When does the course run?
16 hours: four mornings, 9am to 1pm, 9am to 1pm. Next intake: Dates on request. If the date does not suit, ask us about the next run or an in-house class for your team.
