What you will be able to do
A broad understanding of the Lean and Six Sigma methodology, concepts and language, with a complete toolbox of basic process improvement methods.
Stronger, application-focused problem-solving skills, ready to support existing or new Lean Six Sigma projects.
Take part as a core team member or subject matter expert on projects, together with supervisors and managers.
How you learn: simulation activities and case studies, group discussions and q&a, hands-on practice with statistical software, course books, networking.
The fee includes the internal certification exam.
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt course content
A Yellow Belt supports improvement projects as a core team member or subject matter expert and can map processes and spot waste in their own area. Classes run 9am to 5pm.
Day 1
1 dayOverview of Six Sigma: DMAIC and DMADV, DMAIC versus other approaches, cost of poor quality (COPQ), project charters and prioritisation tools, root cause analysis tools, data collection techniques and basic Lean enterprise.
Day 2
1 dayBasic statistics and graphical analysis, fishbone diagrams, value-added and non-value-added activities, and types of statistical analysis (quantitative and qualitative).
Day 3
1 dayGenerating improvement ideas, poka-yoke (mistake proofing), running pilot Six Sigma programmes, solution implementation plan, statistical process control, control plans, and standard operating procedures and documentation.

For anyone who wants to lead or support Lean Six Sigma improvement projects in their own area. How much does the Yellow Belt instructor-led virtual course cost?
RM2,600 per person. Optional external certification exams are charged separately: CSSC RM611, PeopleCert IASSC RM1,294 and ILSSI RM595.
Is this course HRD Corp claimable?
Yes. MBizM Sdn. Bhd. is a registered HRD Corp training provider. Whether your employer can claim depends on its own HRD Corp registration and levy, so check with your HR team before you register.
When does the course run?
3 days, live online, 9am to 5pm. Next intake: Dates on request. If the date does not suit, ask us about the next run or an in-house class for your team.
