A Black Belt leads medium to high impact improvement projects and their teams, and uses advanced statistics to find and prove root causes. Classes run 9am to 5pm.
Define and Measure
3 daysIntroduction to Six Sigma, COPQ, drill-down tree and Pareto chart, teams and stakeholder analysis, Voice of the Customer and the Kano model, SIPOC and process mapping, Quality Function Deployment (QFD), financial analysis and cost savings, root cause analysis tools, cause and effect matrix, operational definition, data collection plan, basic statistics and sampling, measurement system analysis (MSA), capability analysis and sigma value, detailed process mapping, fishbone diagram and FMEA.
Analyse
2 daysHypothesis testing and advanced statistical root cause analysis (type 1 and 2 error, power and sample size, t-tests, one-way ANOVA, test of equal variance, proportion tests, chi-square, non-parametric analysis, general linear model), advanced graphical analysis, sigma level and Z-bench, correlation and regression (simple, multiple and best subset), value stream mapping, and summarising potential factors and solutions.
Improve and Control
3 daysGenerating improvement ideas, design of experiments (DOE), evaluating and selecting the best solutions, implementation and pilot plans, Lean enterprise, cost and benefit analysis (ROI), process control plan, standard operating procedures, statistical process control, best practice replication, and process ownership and dashboards.

Is this course HRD Corp claimable?
Yes. MBizM Sdn. Bhd. is a registered HRD Corp training provider. Whether your employer can claim depends on its own HRD Corp registration and levy, so check with your HR team before you register.
When does the course run?
8 days in two parts, live online, 9am to 5pm. Next intake: Part 1: 2 to 5 Nov 2026, Part 2: 1 to 4 Dec 2026. If the date does not suit, ask us about the next run or an in-house class for your team.
