Lean Six Sigma Black Belt course content
A Black Belt leads medium to high impact improvement projects and their teams, and uses advanced statistics to find and prove root causes. Classes run 9am to 5pm.
Define and Measure
1 dayQuality Function Deployment (QFD), current state value stream mapping, root cause analysis tools and advanced measurement system analysis (MSA).
Analyse
2 daysAdvanced statistical analysis (continuous, attribute, non-parametric and advanced graphical), advanced design of experiments (DOE), Six Sigma project finance for non-finance executives, and Lean Enterprise Training / Kaizen part 1: Lean management and Kaizen teams, waste management and ergonomics, 5S workplace organisation.
Improve and Control
1 dayLean Enterprise Training / Kaizen part 2: standardised work (takt time and work balancing), error proofing / poka-yoke, visual management with Jidoka and Andon, quick changeovers and SMED; advanced statistical process control, visual management of process information, control and audit planning, and dashboard development.
Who this course is for
For anyone who wants to lead or support Lean Six Sigma improvement projects in their own area. You must already hold a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. Typical roles: chief executive officers, managing directors, executive officers, general managers, managers, executives and others. Typical departments: business process improvement, change management, transformation, continuous improvement, project management, contracts, innovation, commercial, business development, strategic planning, human resources, finance and others.

How much does the Black Belt Step Up to Black Belt course cost?
RM5,140 per person. Optional external certification exams are charged separately: CSSC RM1,335, PeopleCert IASSC RM2,303 and ILSSI RM1,295.
Is this course HRD Corp claimable?
Yes. MBizM Sdn. Bhd. is a registered HRD Corp training provider. Whether your employer can claim depends on its own HRD Corp registration and levy, so check with your HR team before you register.
When does the course run?
4 days, face to face, 9am to 5pm. Next intake: 26 to 29 Oct 2026. If the date does not suit, ask us about the next run or an in-house class for your team.
